WAKO World Championships
Ireland 2011
Some of you may be aware that we
have secured the 2011 World
Kickboxing Championships in Ireland
for Semi Contact, Full Contact and
Musical Forms. This is an
unprecedented opportunity in the
history of Kickboxing in Ireland to
bring our wonderful sport to the next
level of participation and exposure in
Ireland. This in turn will benefit your
students, clubs and organisation
overall.

The event will take place from Sunday
20th November through to and
including Sunday 27th November. The
venue is City West Hotel and
Conference Centre, Co Dublin.

To this aim we are asking you to look
within your club/organisation for people
who would be willing and suitable
skilled to help us prepare, host and
run the event as a dedicated
volunteer. I will ask you to promote
the fact we are hosting the event and
ask that you make a presentation
within your club/organisation for
volunteers to assist in the event
organisation and operations during the
event.

I, like all lead a very busy life style
which coupled with our commitment to
our clubs and sport have very little
spare time. However this is an
exceptional opportunity for us in
Ireland and I am sincerely asking you
and your club to get behind this
initiative and rare opportunity for
Kickboxing in Ireland.

There are various key roles we need
to fill and it is best if we have a
specific person who takes
responsibility for this area and
coordinates the overall activity.

Currently at this early stage, the WC
Committee has three members.

end. With people willing to commit to
making this a world class event for all
of us to be proud of.
